About Us

Family Built.
Mission Driven.

Black Belt Network Security isn't just a business — it's what our family built, together, to protect yours.

Our Story

The Name Means Something

Black Belt Network Security isn't a marketing tagline — it's a reflection of who we are. John, Lisa, and their daughter Elizabeth all earned their 1st degree black belts in Kuk Sool Won, a traditional Korean martial art, together as a family.

In Kuk Sool Won, a black belt isn't handed out. It's earned through years of committed training, discipline under pressure, and demonstrated mastery — overseen at every level by the Grandmaster himself. That's the standard we held ourselves to, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to for every client we protect.

And the tradition continues. Youngest daughter Abigail has earned the title of Dahn Bo Nim — Black Belt Candidate — and is actively working through her testing cycle toward 1st degree. She's not done yet, but she's well on her way.

When you hire Black Belt Network Security, you're working with a family that took those principles seriously enough to live them — and serious enough to build a company around them.

The Team

A Family You Can Trust With Yours

Founder & CEO

John Allis

John brings decades of enterprise-level network architecture and cybersecurity experience to every client engagement. Holding a CCIE in Enterprise Infrastructure — one of the most rigorous certifications in the industry — along with Fortinet, AWS, and CompTIA credentials, he's built and secured networks for organizations of every size. He founded Black Belt to bring that same depth of expertise to businesses that have historically had to go without it.

Don't take our word for it — all certifications are independently verified and publicly listed on John's Credly profile.

Business Manager

Lisa Allis

Lisa keeps Black Belt running. As business manager, she handles the operational and administrative backbone of the company — ensuring clients receive the responsiveness and attention they deserve. Her role isn't just behind the scenes; it's the reason the client experience is as seamless as the technical work that supports it.

Why It Matters

Small Enough to Care. Experienced Enough to Protect.

We built this company because we believe small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same level of network security and monitoring that large enterprises rely on — without the enterprise price tag, the faceless ticketing system, or the runaround. When you call Black Belt, you're talking to us. When something goes wrong at 2 a.m., we're on it. That's what it means to be a family business solely focused on protecting yours.

What We Stand For

Discipline. Vigilance. Accountability.

01

Proactive by Default

We don't wait for clients to notice something is wrong. Our NOC and SOC are watching continuously — catching issues before they become incidents and threats before they become breaches.

02

Transparent Always

No jargon, no runaround. You'll always know what's happening in your environment, what we're doing about it, and what it means for your business. Clarity is part of the service.

03

Solely Focused

We don't sell software licenses on the side or push hardware for margin. We protect businesses. That's the only thing on our agenda — which means it's always the only thing on yours.

"
We earned our black belts as a family because we believe discipline and mastery are worth the work. We built this company for the same reason — because your business deserves protection that's been earned, not just promised.
— John Allis, Founder & CEO, Black Belt Network Security
